“To improve is to change, so to be perfect is to have changed often” – Winstone Churchill

This is one of my favourite Winstone Churchill quotes!. I love change …. most of the time. Some of the time it can be a bit unnerving! At MS Auckland we have had a number of changes over the past 6 months with staff members retiring and moving on and long serving Committee members deciding to step down to make room for new people. We now have 6 wonderful new people on our team - 3 new staff members, and 3 new Committee members! With fresh eyes often comes fresh ideas, so watch this space!

We are all excited for our biggest fundraising event of the year – Life Buoy for MS – which will take place this Sunday! All proceeds go to support services for people affected by MS. We have a full house, lots of great prizes and of course a great MC with Scotty Stevenson and a very special guest, Jennifer Ward-Lealand. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation to support the fundraiser please go to our website donation page. We are so grateful for the support of our event sponsors, Harcourts Cooper & Co, JUCY and Care on Call.

We have lots of activities coming up this month with our May Wellness Workshop to ‘Nourish the Body and Mind’, and the return of our Exercise4Health programme at the Trust Stadium and a new one starting in Otahuhu. Also, something to look out for in June is a Chair Yoga class on the North Shore.

All this and more to read for you here in our May Newsletter. Enjoy!
