4. Life Buoy for MS fundraising event

This year’s big annual fundraising event was a great success. We had 260 people attend and made a net profit of about $71,000. Thank you to all who attended or donated to this event. The funds raised will assist MS Auckland in providing our current services as well as looking at establishing new counseling services for members.

5. MS Awareness Week

Awareness Week starts on Sunday the 28th of August. We are looking at awareness campaigns that will raise the public’s understanding and knowledge of MS. We would love to hear your ideas for the campaign. What would you like people to have an increased understanding of in regards to your MS? Would you be prepared to be interviewed or to be followed for a day for a video clip? Please e-mail Ingrid with your thoughts or ideas – on Ingrid@msakl.org.nz.

6. Street Appeal

Following on from Awareness Week on the 2nd and 3rd of September is our second big annual fundraiser – Street Appeal. If you have a few hours to spare to help at our collection sites, or if you would like to do something to help raise funds through your work place, school, neighborhoods, church groups, or any thing else, then please e-mail Francesca on streetappeal@msakl.org.nz.
