1. Street Appeal Collectors Wanted - Friday September 2nd and Saturday September 3rd
Our annual Street Appeal is a huge event and for it to be successful we need lots of volunteers! If you have just 2 hours or more to spare on the 2nd or 3rd of September then we would love to have you join us at one of the many locations around Auckland where we aim to have a presence.

2. Absolutely Fabulous The Movie – Thursday 11 August – Berkeley Cinema, Takapuna
If you enjoyed the TV show, you’ll love the movie. MS Auckland is very happy to be hosting this very special fundraising event. Ticket price is $40/person and includes a glass of Bollinger plus a raffle entry to win a bottle of Bollinger and a beautiful Victoria J dress.

3. Wellness Workshop – Taking Control of our Life Changes - Saturday 30 July 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
There is still room to book in for this Wellness Workshop which will be run by Dr. John Davison, clinical psychologist. Dr. Davison will use concepts of positive neuropsychology to help us recognize the potential effects of MS on our sense of well-being and, more importantly, to gain control of our life changes rather than be controlled by MS. It promises to be an inspiring and informative workshop.
The workshop will be run at the Commerce Club of Auckland at 27-33 Ohinerau Street, Remuera.
The cost is just $10 and includes morning tea. Booking is essential and can be done by e-mailing email@example.com, or by phoning Kirsty or Becky on 845 5921.

4. Meditation and Yin Workshop – Sunday 14 August 1:00 – 3:00
This very special workshop is just $5 for members. It will combine mindfulness meditation with gentle yin yoga, and guided by Fiona, a highly experienced and sought after yoga guide. It is important that participants are able to sit on the floor for this class, either on a mat or on cushions. It will be held at the Om Yoga Studio, Shop 16, Stonefield’s Market, 40 Stonefield Avenue, Stonefields.
Numbers will be strictly limited and booking is essential. You can book in either by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phoning 845 5921.
5. Canadian Survey – for women over 30 only
We have been asked by the University of Alberta in Canada if we would forward to our members the information below and a link to their survey.
Urinary incontinence is a major health problem, which for many women requires the use of continence products or pads. Not a lot is known about how women gather knowledge about continence products.
If you are a women over the age of 30 that uses some sort of continence products to manage your bladder weaknesses we ask you to take this survey. It will take about 5 minutes to complete.

They have had responses from Canada, USA, UK and Australia so far and have said they will send us a summary of their findings.

7. Welcome to Andrea Kortas
