Happy, happy New Year, lovely people! We hope you are enjoying the sunshine and holidays.
This is a special newsletter to give you an important update on the Bike the Bridge event taking place in just over 5 weeks time!
As you maybe aware MS Auckland has been a charity partner for Bike the Bridge from the very beginning. Bike the Bridge founder and organiser, Callum McNair and his family knows all too well the challenges facing people living with MS and their families, as his wife has been living with MS now for over 20 years. He is also aware of the good work of MS Auckland, in providing practical support and information to families. As the only support service in the region, our services play a vital role in the lives of people affected by MS.
This year we are joint charity partners along with Bike Auckland, a charity promoting Auckland to be a more bike friendly city.
Did you miss the Early Bird Discount? No worries – for all members of the MS Auckland community we can offer a $10 discount. Email us for your promo code. Once you have you received your promo code register for Bike the Bridge here and use your promo code to get your discount.
Bike the Bridge is an important fundraising event for us. With only 8% of our funding from the government, we rely heavily on the generosity of people like you to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of families with MS. You may want to apply your discount to donate to MS Auckland when you register, or you may choose to also set up a Give-a-little page to do additional fundraising for MS Auckland. E-mail Kirsty if you would like to find out more about setting up a fundraising page. All funds raised will go directly to our Field Work support service, providing extensive community outreach to people affected by MS.
If you are unable to ride this year and would like to make a donation, you can do so through our website or by calling the MS Auckland office on 09 845 5921. All donations over $5 are tax deductible and so very much appreciated!
MS Auckland will have a booth at Smales Farm where the event will finish. If you can make it please come and say
Wishing you a wonderful year!
