Living with MS
What is MS? |
Be a VolunteerResearch and Branch Programs are made possible by hundreds of volunteers who contribute their talent and time. The Society is a non-profit organisation directed by volunteers, including the Committee which is elected annually by the general membership. Many committee members first became interested in the Society though participation in one of our special events. Volunteers come from all walks of life and all circumstances. Some have Multiple Sclerosis themselves; others have a family member or friend with the disease. Many get involved simply because they care about - and want to help in - the fight against MS. Without volunteers, it would be impossible for the Society to extend the range of programs currently offered to its clients, or provide many of the aids to daily living that make life easier for those with Multiple Sclerosis. From medical professionals who donate their time for speaking engagements and workshops, to the advisory committees for each of our fund raising events, each volunteer is a unique and vital part of the way we meet our mission: to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
