DREAMS – Delightful Recreational Activities for people with MS

DREAMS is an opportunity for people with Multiple Sclerosis to socialise, to enhance skills, to gain information about support networks and client service programmes, to share in activities with their family or caregivers and to meet people with similar interests.

The mission of DREAMS is to promote social activities that bring people together, help in building new relationships and contribute to the well being of people with Multiple Sclerosis.

As DREAMS happen on weekends, they gives recreational opportunities to people who work full-time.

DREAMS include activities that range across a whole span of interests. Events include cultural, adventurous, social, arty-crafty activities and many more. These activities are suggested by members of the Society. Apart from the members of the Society, the staff at MS Auckland, and the volunteers, the ongoing support of various funding sources which includes individuals and trusts makes DREAMS possible.

DREAMS was officially launched by Tab Baldwin, coach of the Tall Blacks in April 2003.

"DREAMS gives me normality, dignity, pleasure and achievement back into my life and we can all go as we are not alone and have willing hands to help us."
